Ed explains the inspiration behind this pattern …
Lionheart depicts the simplified forms of dastles, follies, pavilions, cottages, cathedrals, mills, a steam train and a sailing ship with the lion rampant at the core. I wanted to create a pattern which hints at the man made symbols of Britain.
Painswick Design – cushion covers available in 2 colourways. Zipped cushion cover 55 x 55cm, may be purchased with or without the pad.
Ed explains the inspiration behind this textile …
The geometric planting, terraces, avenues, rides (scenic walks) and follies in the Rococo Garden at Painswick were completed in the 1970s by Benjamin Hyett, son of Charles Hyett, who began building his new house ‘Buenos Aires’ (good air) here as an escape from the smog of Gloucester. The linear structure and bold forms of the gardens inspired this textile.
