Joana Palmer is the designer and founder of Pinah jewellery. Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, now based in London. Pinah was born from Joana’s passion for jewellery, shapes and forms, but especially from a deep curiosity about making wearable objects.  The signature of Pinah jewellery is that no two pieces are ever the same, making each and every creation truly unique.

A background in theatre design and performance taught me to reimagine – rethink – the world around me, and it translates to my jewellery. I prefer to call these pieces ‘experiments to wear’.

Using a creative approach to materials Joana uses polymer clay, Jesmonite and Surgical Stainless Steel to create her wearable sculpted earrings, necklaces and bracelets.  The spirit of her jewellery is playful and each piece is designed to be easy and comfortable to wear. Her work encourages the wearer to contemplate the moment and to appreciate and enjoy the ‘everyday small pleasures’ that make up our everyday lives. This is jewellery with narrative and joy in the making and in the wearing.

The gallery is delighted to be showing selected earrings and necklaces from Pinah’s Everyday Small Pleasures collection.  Please get in touch to view the full collection.
