Quercus Gallery brings together fine art and contemporary craft by British artists & makers alongside carefully chosen greetings cards and paper goods, curated by Evie Williams.
Evie seeks to champion interesting and affordable artworks by both established and lesser known artists.
Founded in Bath, Quercus re-opened in Bradford-on-Avon from 2020 – 2022. The gallery now sells online and curates pop-up exhibitions and events.
In 2013 Evie established Quercus Gallery in Bath, having formerly worked as an assistant curator at Austin Desmond Fine Art, London and other commercial art galleries in Bath.
The gallery enjoyed three years in the centre of Bath, where Quercus gained a reputation for its distinctive mixed disciplinary displays.
In 2016 the gallery closed whilst Evie took maternity leave with her first baby. Quercus stepped back from a regular exhibition programme but continued to host pop-up exhibitions in and around Bath and to feature work online.
Fast forward to autumn 2020 (with now two little ones in the family!) and Quercus Gallery Bradford-on-Avon launched, going on to win Best Art Gallery in Wiltshire in the Muddy Stilettos Awards, July 2021. The gallery was lucky to spend two years in a beautiful Bradford-on-Avon setting before closing in the summer of 2022.
