ED KLUZ SHOW PHOTOS

Here are some photos of our current Ed Kluz exhibition, which opened at the end of last week.  It was lovely to see so many people there on Friday appreciating the new work and enjoying a few Bath Gin G&Ts!

Alongside Ed’s work we are showing work by two more talented artists based in Brighton – original ceramics by Silvia K, and new jewellery by  Jo McDonald.

Next week some brand new pieces will be added to the show including:

PICTURES AT AN EXHIBITION BATH INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL

The forthcoming Bath International Music Festival holds some treats across the musical spectrum and the gallery is proud to be sponsoring the inaugural performance:

Saturday 16 May 11 – 1 pm, Guildhall
Piano recital by Steven Osborne
Rachmaninov’s colourful Etudes-Tableaux, paired with Mussorksy’s famous Pictures at an Exhibition.

Steven Osborne is festival Artist in Residence this year and will also be performing Messian’s extraordinary solo piano work Vingt regards sur l’enfant-Jésus on Sunday 24 May.

The gallery is open Good Friday and Easter Saturday 10.30 – 5.30

Closed Easter Sunday and Monday.

Open as normal from Tuesday 7 April.

Current exhibition FORMS & FABRICS continues until Saturday 18 April.

NEW DESIGNER – PENNY PRICE JEWELLERY

We are delighted to introduce Penny Price to the gallery’s portfolio of contemporary jewellery designers.

Penny studied jewellery design at Central St. Martins and is now based in Somerset.

Working predominantly with silver, she creates sculptural, wearable, silver jewellery with innovative, one-off designs. Read more.

The gallery is currently showing a range of earrings, bracelets, rings and necklaces by Penny Price.  For more information and prices please contact Evie at the gallery.

THE STILL POINT EXHIBITION PART II

Thank you to everyone who attended the evening view of The Still Point exhibition on Friday.  It was great to see so many people there enjoying the new work on display and to catch up with artists; Martine Baldwin, Christopher Binding, Dean Byass, Pennie Elfick, Adrian Mitchell, Sandra Porter and Matt Waite.

The exhibition continues until Saturday 28 February so do come along and have a look. We’re delighted that the gallery is now showing work by Bristol-based artist Dean Byass, prints by Melanie Goemans, based in Cambridge and a new collection of paintings by Susan Laughton.

 

 

GALLERY FEATURES IN FILMING FOR BBC SHERLOCK

On Monday 2 February Quercus Gallery was given a Victorian makeover as part of the filming for the new Sherlock Christmas special, which took place along Queen Street.  Unfortunately we could not tempt Sherlock himself inside the gallery for a look but we did end up with a distinctive window display for a couple of days!

CHRISTMAS OPENING TIMES

Our Christmas show is open until Christmas Eve, when the gallery will close at 4pm.

In the lead up to Christmas the gallery will also be OPEN SUNDAYS 11am – 4pm (and until 8pm on Thursday for late night shopping).

Between Christmas and New Year:
Open Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 December from 11am – 4pm.

Normal gallery opening times resume:
Tuesday 6 January 2015.

CHRISTMAS SHOW OPEN!

Quercus’ Christmas show sees the introduction of new artist Henrietta Corbett to the gallery, along with stunning new paintings by Joan Doerr, Vanessa Gardiner and Helen Booth plus lots more paintings, prints, ceramics, jewellery, sculpture and textiles.

Open late every Thursday evening until 8pm for late night shopping and a glass of fizz!
