Christopher Binding pursues the same concern in his printmaking as in his paintings – a focus on pure abstraction through a language of minimalism. Making no attempt at representation or figuration his work is purely abstract, direct and sparse, aiming to imbue form with a ‘lucid stillness’ and to convey this quality to the viewer.
‘…investing form with a lucid stillness,
turning shadow into transient beauty…’
T S Eliot (Four Quartets)
