MIXED SUMMER DISPLAY

Quercus Gallery’s introductory season continues with this new display of mixed work.  New work is presented those artists already established at the gallery with pieces by some new artists being introduced throughout the course of the summer.

This show features three beautiful new paintings of the Cornish coast by Dorset-based landscape painter Vanessa Gardiner, exhibited for the first time.  New pieces by Chloe Steele are on display in the lower gallery including a captivating series of drawings ‘Objects from the Garden’, made during her visit to West Dean Collage, Chichester and a stunning group of wood cuts on Japanese paper.  Two striking new works by Pippa Ridley are on show – an energetic pen and ink drawing ‘Ludgate Circus’ and a fantastic large collage and painted panel piece ‘Ship of Fools’.

New jewellery by Rhiannon Lewis includes striking uncut opal and silver jewellery along with beautiful new silver bracelets, earrings and rings by local Bath jeweller Karen Parker.  In addition to the beautiful glazed Cornish tableware, new larger dishes and bowls are now available by Matt Waite.

NEW to the gallery are textile designs by Louise Rushford, sculptural ceramics by Jo Taylor and jewellery by Flora Hely Hutchinson.

This show is a chance to further explore the first group of Quercus Gallery’s exhibiting artists and to discover more recently added artists.
